CICTCI is implementing the new requirements of digital transformation of highway transportation infrastructure, adhering to the system concept, data empowerment, scenario guidance, promoting integration and innovation, assisting in the intelligent expansion of infrastructure, including the upgrading of systematic roadside holographic perception, fully utilizing old existing perception equipment, and creating a digital intelligent highway system with all-weather traffic and all-round multi terminal information access for low light, ultra long distance, and newly added trigger perception.

- Promoting the smart expansion of infrastructure includes systematic roadside holographic sensing upgrades, making full use of old sensing equipment, and adopting software algorithm upgrade strategies to sense low illumination, ultra-long distances, and new triggers.
- Create a digital smart high-speed system with all-weather access and all-round multi-terminal information access.
- Soft expansion also includes dynamic lane management and control, dynamic opening of hard shoulders, and the use of C-V2X communication methods to clear the right of way for vehicles when dynamic lanes are temporarily closed, achieving the purpose of managing and controlling results at any time.
- In terms of promoting infrastructure safety and efficiency, proactive early warning for key vehicles, upgrading roadside sensing algorithms, installing communication equipment on vehicles, strengthening real-time trajectory monitoring of two passenger and one dangerous vehicles, adding sensing equipment on long downhill slopes, tunnels, etc.
- In a timely manner Security warning, low-latency information access through C-V2X and other communication methods. V2X early warning sentries will be installed in key areas where illegal activities such as pedestrians and non-motor vehicles running red lights are common. Use C-V2X to implement vehicle-road-cloud integrated speed harmony for traffic flow, carry out smooth speed limit adjustments in hierarchical divisions, and carry out induction measures such as strengthening the merging area induction in specific areas, strengthening the main line intelligent driving induction, and strengthening the collision warning in the merging area.
- Ensure traffic safety on key road sections. Utilize existing inspection vehicles and add sensing communication equipment to conduct digital inspections of infrastructure.
- In terms of promoting cross-domain industry integration, we will build a smart high-speed vehicle-road-cloud integrated system, V2X real-time warning, form vehicle-road-cloud integrated event processing capabilities, and use vehicle-road-cloud integrated big data to expand applications. Combined with the existing idle land on the expressway, a dedicated logistics system for high-speed smart trunk lines will be created.
